Everything You Need To Know – Cycle 3

I was looking for an easy (because seriously, who has the time!) to enhance our history, since this is our second time through Cycle 3 with Classical Conversations and I found these “Everything You Need to Know Books.” Now these books say 4th-6th grade, but I am going to be reading them to my younger child (2nd grader) and I do think she will really benefit.

Here is a pdf you can download and print (and laminate if you are feeling fancy).

Everything You Need to Know About American History

Now, when you buy the books there are old versions (copyright in the 1990’s) and revised versions (copyright late 2000’s). I have the a mix of new and old versions, and best I can tell they are pretty similar. The following links are my Amazon affiliate links, and if you use them, 17th Street Blessings receives a small percentage. Thanks so much!

You can pick up a copy of the American History book on Amazon.

You can print the pdf, or here is a list. The pdf is set up like a bookmark.

BOOK IT! – For Homeschoolers! – 2017-18

tumblr_me7wh2BqUr1qzqphmo1_1280Did you get a fun pin as a child with Book-It? I remember ordering my very own pizza, and receiving a ‘star’ sticker for my pin.

Enrollment for homeschoolers is open for the 2017-18 school year.

They didn’t offer pins last year, but did offer a little booklet, that my kids could add stickers as they earned the free pizza certificates.

Even more fun, our local location (and this may vary) allowed us to substitute a kid’s lunch buffet. This was a fun treat after a group science class, or swimming lessons.
